Ok, so I changed my mind about giving my current art project as a gift. Two reasons: As my first “go” at mosaic tile art…they are a bit rough, and I like them so much I can’t bear to part with them. The person I was going to give them to will get something else cool. So don’t worry, I’m not that selfish.

But I am going to show off! These are mosaic tile balls. Medium: vitreous glass tile.

They are a lot shinier in person….I was using my daughter’s iPod camera, so they are lacking a bit.

This one ( below) is my current project! I am in love with the swirl at the top. This one isn’t grouted…..This one has the triangles, but I forgot to take a picture of them! Shoot.

I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying this. This is certainly something that is relaxing, but also lets me express as much creativity as I’d like. I’m currently working on something for my husband. I’ll show you that when it’s done.
